The miBUS system is a UL1069-compliant wired communication format that enables up to 32 devices to be daisy-chained from a single controller. Using standard Cat 5e cabling, devices can be easily connected from room to room eliminating the need for costly home-run wiring and significantly reducing installation time and expense.
Chains can extend up to 800 feet, with all devices drawing power directly from the miBUS controller. No need for separate power sources or outlets. This makes miBUS an ideal choice for new builds and retrofits alike, especially in large or multi-wing facilities where reliability and centralization are essential.

All the same trusted miBUS devices are also available in miNET versions providing consistent functionality and performance across your facility, no matter the deployment type. Install devices exactly where you need them, without running a single cable. One standout offering is the miNET Wireless Water Sensor, which can detect spills or flooding anywhere in the facility without any physical installation. Just place the sensor where needed — under a sink, near a toilet, behind a washer — and receive immediate alerts through the miALERT Nurse Call System if water is detected.
